2011 Austin BELL Camp Day 9

Today was the ninth and final day of BELL Camp for 2011. In Blindness Lesson, students got to discuss what BELL Camp meant to them. In Reading students practiced reding Braille with their favorite Braille games-Twister, Beach Ball Braille, and Flash cards. Writing focused on a final journal with Mr. Jim-writing teacher. In nonvisual class students discussed blindness philosophy with Angela a student Professor of Sociology at UT. In extra curricular students took pictures for their BELL photo albums.
The students all voted and the Austin BELL Camp all ate breakfast for lunch-pancakes and tacos. For recess and group activity students had fun playing hide and seek. A small ceremony with students and families ended Austin BELL 2011 with BELL Ringers from all students. One student really enjoyed voting for Breakfast for lunch, and one other was proud of her time at BELL Camp. Next times tease is: until we meet again!
