For 2012 the goal for the Arlington Chapter will be reaching out to those who are in need of our support & guidance as well as reaching out to the public to increase awareness about blindness and the blind. Please note a serious health issue at FoxRun Estates has placed the facility under quarantine preventing anyone entering the facility.

The facility quarantine has lifted but for extra precautionary measures the Board still advocates the idea that the Chapter's meeting location will again be meeting in February at Woodland West Library—see below for address and phone number.

March 31st: Low Vision Accessibility Fair will be held at the Arlington Central Library located at 101 East Abrams Street in Arlington from 11:00AM to 3:00PM

COMMITTEES/PROGRAMS

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

we need your skills to help raise money for the NFB Scholarship program, Braille Literacy projects, and for the Chapter.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

we need talented people who enjoy public speaking; visiting with blind people who have difficulties with travel; advocating; teaching & supporting Braille Literacy, etc.
This program shall be designed by those who enjoy helping others.

BRAILLE MENTORING

Come by the Arlington Central Library, 101 East Abrams Street in Arlington. Our mentors are able and willing to meet you by arranging the time and day in advance.
