Summer Camp for Blind Children
National Federation of the Blind (NFB)
Parents of Blind Children, Professionals in Blindness, and Colleagues:
This summer consider enrolling your blind child in one of our four BELL programs across the state of Texas. The Abilene, Austin, Beaumont and Houston Chapters are excited to host the 2012 Texas BELL Program for their respective communities. This camp is dedicated toward emphasizing the importance of Braille through a creative fun curriculum involving Reading, Writing, nonvisual techniques, mentoring and a well-rounded approach to the arts, recreation, and technological aspects for blind individuals. Blind students are able to meet independent and successful blind role models, practice their skills in blindness, participate in team and confidence-building activities, and most importantly experience the beauty that Braille beholds.
Register here for the BELL Program.
